The Story of Ashtead Chiropractic Clinic
Helen Bartlett
Helen first decided to study Chiropractic following a family member’s visit to a chiropractor. This initial spark of interest, combined with Helen’s fascination with the workings of the human body, led her to study Chiropractic.
Clare Hyland
Clare decided to follow a career in Chiropractic after having a traumatic running accident at 18. The injury resulted in an inability to weight bear (stand up) and having to have subsequent rehabilitation. Clare was advised by a friend to see a Chiropractor. At this stage, Clare had not heard of Chiropractic. Her treatment showed her the importance of good neuromusclosketetal function, which spurred Clare on to a career in Chiropractic.
Working Together
From here they went to study at Anglo-European-College of Chiropractic (AECC), which is where Helen and Clare became firm friends. They went on to graduate in 1996/97. Helen went to work at a clinic in Ewell and Clare worked in Reigate. After a while working in these clinics, it became apparent that both women had the same professional outlook and a desire to help their patients achieve their long term health goals.
In February 2001 they opened Ashtead Chiropractic Clinic. Which specialises in Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) where our aim is to help you improve your overall health and wellbeing.
As the Clinic continued to expand we took on chiropractor Lucy Schleibach in 2006. We moved to bigger premises in 2007 in Lower Ashtead where we were able to engage a fourth chiropractor to work with us, which led to Rob joining the Clinic in May 2019.
In 2015 we took the decision to extend the premises giving us another two treatment rooms and enabling other therapists to work from our clinic. To date these include sports massage therapy, Swedish massage therapy, dermatology, reflexology and homeopathy.
